Accreditation and Institutional Effectiveness

Many higher education institutions face accreditation issues at the institution or program level. We can help you organize your accreditation tasks with a proven project management approach to accreditation. For institutions accredited with the  Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, institutional effectiveness still proves to be the area that causes the most problems for most colleges and universities. We offer services to evaluate and streamline your institutional effectiveness efforts to ensure a smooth reaffirmation of accreditation process.

Community College Baccalaureate

Perhaps the most exciting and challenging new initiative for community college is the development of a community college baccalaureate. Several states including Florida, Arizona, Texas, and Washington are now authorizing their colleges to develop baccalaureate degrees. In some states such as Florida this involves the preparation of a state application, in addition to regional accreditation requirements to award a higher level degree. We can assist you in proposal preparation, accreditation processes, curriculum planning and assessment of need for the community college baccalaureate degree in your service area.

Evaluation and Assessment

Perhaps no other area is as important as evaluation and assessment. Regional Accreditors and the Spellings Commission have pointed out that higher education institutions must show that students are learning what we say they are learning. Not only must we assess what students are learning, we must use that data to improve what we do as colleges and universities. KahunaTech can help you develop effective assessment models that will help you evaluate your programs to improve.

Learning Outcomes Development

Regional accreditors require their institutions to develop learning outcomes at the general education, program and course level. We can help your institution organize these efforts into a streamlined, technology-based effort that minimizes paperwork and frustration on the part of faculty. The emphasis is on student learning and improvement, rather than on paperwork and process. Let us show you our proven methodologies.

Strategic Planning

At the heart of planning and evaluation is the institution's strategic plan. In these changing times, many institutions are shifting from five-year strategic plans to three-year plans that can allow the institution to be more responsive in these fast-changing times. We can help you develop a new strategic plan involving all institutional stakeholders, or evaluate your current strategic plan to see how evaluation and assessment techniques could be improved.
